SAINTE-MARINE CHAPEL
16th century chapel overlooking the port, with sandpits decorated with dragons, sculpted friezes and marine ex-votos.
Rectangular in plan and surrounded by oaks, this small chapel faces Benodet and dominates the port. Built in the 16th century in honour of Saint Voran, an Irish hermit, enlarged in the 20th century, it is now dedicated to Saint Marine. It is distinguished by its sandpits decorated with dragons, but also by its carved friezes or its boats, surrounded by fish, which make a miraculous fishing. You will be able to contemplate contemporary stained glass windows as well as ex-votos from the sea suspended from the frame, all this makes it a unique place, a timeless parenthesis. The place is absolutely charming and the view idyllic. The pardon of the Chapel of St. Mary takes place every second Sunday in July.

On peut (souvent) y admirer de très belles bannières réalisées par l'atelier Le Minor, installé à Pont L'Abbé, tout proche.
A voir, aussi des ex-voto.
