Founded in 1920, the mythical Douarnenez canning factory was the heart of the city for many years. During almost all of the twentieth century, the preserved sardine here was the jewel of the douarnenist economy and the Pen' sardines (female workers of the canning factory) are part of the history of the city. Therefore, it is not surprising to find sardine in all its forms in the shop of the factory, but it is not the only fish present, instead. Many surprises throughout the stalls await you. And if you do not like surprises, you can find all the products of the cannery on their website.
