CIDER HOUSE CHÂTEAU DE LEZERGUE
Château Lézergué while being a defender of genuine farming tradition, is a compulsory stop on the road of Cornouaille cider. Cidriers since 1990 and passionate about their profession, the three brothers, Guillaume, Matthieu and Joseph Jan, have been managing 30 hectares of cider apple trees, including a part reserved for AOC Cornouaille label, which is labelled as the "Château de Lézergué" label. Artisanal farmer cider (brut, semi-dry and sweet) is marketed under the friendly and cheerful name of "Les trois frères" ("An tri breur" in Breton). The trio owes everything to dad. Fascinated by the fruit trees and their culture, it was him who planted the first apple orchards whose varieties (Kermerrien, Marie-Ménard, Prat-yeod, Douce-moen, Kroc'bridegroom ki, Douce-coëtlign…) bear now remarkable quality. The three brothers value with the same faith the terroir by combining at the same time the Protected Geographical indication (PGI) with Brittany. The list of awards grows from year to year. There were no less than ten (4 gold and 6 silver) after the last Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2014. The apples of the orchard produce, needless to say, other delights to discover: Brittany Pommeau, lambig, apple juice… on sale at the domain shop.
