CHURCH OF SAINT- GOUESNOU
This beautiful architectural ensemble has undergone many transformations over the centuries. Enlarged in the seventeenth century, the church was rebuilt in the same way after the Second World War, following bombings and an important fire. With a three-panned elbow in Beaumanoir style, it is elegant. Inside, there is an atmosphere of simplicity and simplicity. Furniture and decoration are modern invoices, as well as the 22 stained-glass windows that are the work of Jacques Le Chevallier. In the summer, the church is open some days, during which guided tours are assured. Below you will find a fountain devoted to Saint Gouesnou: a stone statue of the saint in the costume of bishop with his miter is always present there. Please note: The church and its fountain and its triumphant door were classified to historic monuments in 1914. Destroyed in 1944 and then rebuilt, it falls into the category of monuments classified reconstructed.
