DOMAINE DE KERVÉGUEN
This is the official Elysée supplier! Since 1997, the Domaine de Kervéguen has presided over the Republic's meals. At the end of the day, Jacques Chirac was himself a great amateur of the «Prestige Carpe Diem», a jewel of the house (the «Sauterne» of cider in a way). A refined and dorlotée wine like a late harvest or a wine of the Jura straw. But this cider is not the only beverage to savour since you can also taste the "wine of the Peasant" (very dry), the pommel and the chouchen (a rarity, say it! that this assemblage of press must and honey). The manufacture of cider in Kervéguen is a family story. Already the great paternal father delivered cider in barrels to Breton coffees during the Second World War. Then Father, Jean, perpetuated this family tradition. This talent cellar is located in a former th and th century manor house. A historical and architectural heritage with its staircase, its counterpart in the middle of the orchards (6 hectares) and all the outbuildings of which the former stables have been rehabilitated to host the cider cellar. Today 80 400-liter drums are all the length of the longère. This is a unique place. Truly presidential!
