ST. CORENTIN'S CHAPEL

The Saint-Corentin chapel was probably rebuilt in the 16th century. It was then very small and of no artistic interest! It housed a painted wooden statue of Saint Corentin (an old, shaved figure holding an episcopal crosier and wearing grey gloves and a white mitre). Apparently, when one wanted to change the direction of the wind, it was enough to orientate the stick in the desired direction. If the wish was not granted, the saint was then put in penance and covered with seaweed. The Senans really wanted this chapel to be restored. It was done thanks to Father Marzin. So, it was rebuilt and inaugurated on August 13, 1972. Namely: the three stained glass windows were made by a family of Senans.
