ST. RONAN'S CHURCH

The present church was rebuilt at the end of the 19thcentury because the first one was no longer big enough for the Molénais parishioners. Inside, some treasures can be seen. Among the ciboria and statues, you can see a non signed canvas with magnificent oil from the 17thcentury, called La Vierge et l'Enfant. By its side, there is a ruby chalice donated by the archbishop of Canterburry to the head of the island to thank him following the shipwreck of the Drummond Castle. Queen Victoria and the English authorities also offered a clock for the bell tower as a sign of gratitude. Two ex-votos depicting boats, a three-master and a sloop are also visible.
