MULLEIN SEMAPHORE
Property of the department, the lighthouse displays on two levels, the history and the function of this symbolic place of the island. Interactive space, it tells the daily life and the missions of the lookouts. A reduction of the semaphoric mast was designed so that visitors can understand how the transmission of warning messages took place. Rescue missions, provided by the SNSM (national sea-rescue association), are traced from yesterday to today and the history of the shipwreck of the English steamship, the Drummond Castle in 1896 is also described.
Reopening of the Drummond Castle museum.
