One of the most exceptional sites of the coast of legends, with a museum allowing to dive into the history of the village

Welcome to one of the most exceptional sites on the coast of legends, rich in 300 years of history. Meneham, from the Breton Menez ham, "the hamlet on the hill", was originally a simple village of peasants, fishermen and "gémoniers", living a rough and rudimentary life. Abandoned after the war, the houses fell into disrepair, but in the 2000s, sudden interest led to its restoration, making it one of the must-see sites on the north coast. Today, a major museography project allows visitors to immerse themselves in the living conditions and history of this village, perpetuating the memory of the place and the people who lived there. Artists' studios are also nestled in the adventure, giving rhythm to local life with an authentic creative atmosphere. If your steps take you here, start by strolling along the beaches, which have something soothing and immense about them. Then you'll have to cross some curious winding paths between gigantic rocks. You'll then discover the last preserved residence facing the sea, a magical yet tender place that encapsulates the spirit of Brittany by the sea. Then meet the artists, stroll through the museum areas and head off for a bite to eat at the friendly local inn. It's a great place to eat, and very cheap! Who knows, maybe you'll have the chance to meet an old sailor? He'll tell you all about the time when this place vibrated to the rhythm of the tides, about fishing and about the Bretons. What a culture!
