Castle overlooking the valley of Elorn which invites you to a stroll to discover its history, its defensive and spatial organization

Re-opened to the public after several campaigns of archaeological excavations, the site of Roc'h Morvan Castle is really worth a look. Located on a rocky promontory, it overlooks the Elorn valley at a height of more than 70 m. An interpretive tour offers you the opportunity to learn more about the ruins of the castle while walking around. We follow with curiosity the singular history of this imposing fortress while discovering its defensive and spatial organization. An ideal walk to do with the children.

Open all year round. Free admission every day from 10am to 6pm. Every day and on public holidays from 10 am to 6 pm. Guided tours every 1st Sunday of the month and every day in July and August, at 3pm. Guided tours.

Malgré l'état de l'édifice, je vous conseille tout de même d'aller jeter un oeil à ce château médiéval. Le ppint d'orgue de la visite est certainement la vue que l'on a de là-haut!

Intéressant par beau temps de surplomber cette vallée du haut de ce qu'il reste de ce château de st Maurice qui témoigne en plus de l'enclos paroissial la puissance de ce village à l'époque. Chapeau pour la mise en valeur de ces ruines.
