Saint Guenolé joined the woods of Landévennec, at the turn of the5th and 6th centuries, to establish a religious establishment there. Only the remains of this settlement remain today. The monastery of Landévennec will know during the following centuries a considerable development which will make it the "heart of Brittany". Destroyed in 913 then rebuilt, it will be inhabited until the Revolution. This beautiful museum shows the architectural traces of the successive monasteries.
