DIAERESIS MANOR
Go there and contact
The birthplace of Admiral Yves de Kerguelen, an 18th century navigator who discovered the Islands of Desolation in 1772 (which later took his name...), is built on a site whose traces of habitation date back to the 9th century, successively owned by the Trémarec (1426), Kergadalen and Kerguelen families in the 17th century. This manor house has a very simple united facade and a Gothic tower with mullioned windows at the back. A private property, the manor house cannot be visited but can be discovered after a very pleasant walk.
