Inn with garden breathing tradition with its Alsatian air, its home-made dishes and its wine list

Here's an address to highlight among all those in southern Alsace. The former coaching inn, converted into a restaurant at the turn of the century, exudes tradition, and is a model of its kind, with its half-timbering and wood panelling giving it an Alsatian air. The style is rustic, as is the cuisine, which features Village-Neuf asparagus in the spring. The foie gras is homemade and delicious, accompanied by a Gewurztraminer. For fish lovers: turbot, sole, sea bass and smoked salmon served in their own homemade sauce. To end on a sweet note, the house-glazed kugelhopf is a must. The wine list features top-quality French varietals. A beautiful summer garden welcomes you in fine weather.

Joli décor, serveuses sympathiques, menu varié et belle carte des vins, excellente soupe de potiron et foie gras en entrée, très bon veau aux girolles et filet de bœuf au vin, desserts également excellents. Le meilleur restaurant que nous ayons testé pendant ces 3 jours en Alsace. A retourner !

Nous avons opté pour le « menu du moment » et savouré (presque) chaque plat, tous généreusement servis ! Le « marbré de cailles et foie gras aux cèpes » a été quelque peu décevant - le goût du foie gras et des cèpes étant malheureusement peu prononcé. Le dessert façon macaron aux quetsches était une belle surprise ! Le service était impeccable et l’ambiance agréable.
