After a five years debate between the town of Conquet and Lochrist, the church was finally rebuilt in Conquet by the architect Joseph Bigot, renown 19th century builder, who also made the spires of the Quimper cathedral. The church is in a neo-gothic style. Stones of the ancient monument are used as well as extracts of the quarries of Blancs Sabloncs and the Ildut aber. At the opening ceremony, the sarcophagus of Michel de Nobletz, 17th century Breton missionary, was moved to the new church.
