ARMORIQUE REGIONAL NATURAL PARK
Regional natural park in Le Faou, the first in Brittany. A rural area rich in exceptional landscapes and hiking trails.
Created in 1969, the Armorique Regional Nature Park (PNR), which covers more than 125,000 hectares and 44 communes, is a rural area rich in exceptional landscapes and hiking trails. It was the2nd PNR created in France and the first in Brittany. The PNRA team works on a daily basis to help people discover its territory, which includes the Monts d'Arrée, the islands of the Iroise Sea (Molène, Ouessant, Sein), the Crozon peninsula and the Aulne maritime valley. These four very marked territories each have their own specificities and atmosphere, which creates an invaluable diversity for those who want to walk there at their ease. Since July 2017, the Armorique Regional Nature Park, along with 51 other RNPs, has launched the Valeurs Parc brand, to promote the local economy and the territory's natural and cultural resources. 32 professionals benefit from it on the territory of the park, most of them specialized in tourism (accommodation, catering, leisure or sports activities). In 2019, the Armorique Regional Nature Park was awarded the UNESCO Geopark label, the logical continuation of the Valeurs Parc brand, which could bring international recognition to the exceptional geological heritage of this territory. Throughout the year, the Park offers a wide range of activities. Guided theme tours, hikes, cultural discoveries, nights under the stars, mountain bike rides... All nature lovers will find something for everyone.
