Heir to the know-how of several generations of winegrowers, Michel Moellinger manages with passion his vineyard planted on the slopes of Wettolsheim between Colmar and Eguisheim. Certified "High Environmental Value" (HVE3) since May 2019, this estate benefits from three prestigious Grands Crus: Hengst, Steingrubler and Pfersigberg. With his wife Isabelle, Michel Moellinger uses sustainable agriculture to cultivate the traditional Alsatian grape varieties (sylvaner, pinot blanc, riesling, muscat, pinot gris, gewurztraminer, pinot noir) which give birth to excellent wines and crémants. A visit to his cellar is surprising because of the harmonious cohabitation between the wood of very old tuns and the modern glow of the stainless steel vats. It is a pleasure to settle down in the cellar to take the time to taste some good vintage vintages often acclaimed by connoisseurs. The Moellinger estate won 2 Gold medals at the 2017 Riesling du Monde Competition with its Riesling 2015 Grand Cru Steingrubler and its Riesling 2015 Grand Cru Pfersigberg! Its Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé won a Gold medal at the Concours des Vins de Colmar in 2018. As for the Muscat Réserve 2018, it won a Silver medal at the Concours des Muscats du Monde 2019.
