In James Suckling's Top 100 Alsace wines is this spearhead of organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter) viticulture. Founded in 1725, it brings together on 23 hectares a mosaic of rich terroirs in Grand Cru appellation (Schlossberg, Hengst, Goldert, Brand). Visit the cellar, decorated in a contemporary style, and taste some of its wines, such as the Riesling Jade 2021, whose mineral complexity goes perfectly with a seafood platter, or the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Hengst 2019, with its aromas of mango, papaya and lychee.

Endlich wieder einmal auf der Domaine Saint-Rémy. Sehr freundlicher Empfang von der charmanten Tochter, die uns auf deutsch, Ihre feinen Weine sehr kompetent vorgetragen hat. Es ist uns jedesmal ein grosses Vernügen, diese ausdruckstarken Weine zu verkosten. Man spürt die Leidenschaft der Familie, das Beste aus den verschiedenen Traubensorten herauszuholen. Wir wünschen Euch weiterhin viel Erfolg auf diesem hohen Level.

We visited this vinyard with a large group and enjoyed a very pleasant wine tasting. Very friendly and generous hostess. The choice of wine is large so one should be able to find something that matches one's taste.

We had an amazing wine tasting here! Our host (I wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us an overview of all the different regions of Alsace before honing in on the examples that they produce. Getting to taste side-by-side examples of each variety was a special treat. Highly recommend a visit here!
