KERNAULT MANOR
Classified as a historic monument, the Kernault manor house built in the 15th century reveals the power of the owners of this vast agricultural estate. It is a fine example of the evolution of a rural manor house over the centuries, with traces of Gothic architecture, a 17th century half-timbered attic or 18th century decorations in the seigneurial hall... The 30-hectare estate can be visited free of charge all year round. Orchards, various woods, a fishpond and many animals that contribute to the maintenance of the park, such as Breton draught horses, Scottish cows and Ushant sheep, can be found there. Its temporary exhibitions rival each other in originality and will seduce young and old alike. In 2019, from 26 April to 3 November, the manor invites visitors to discover the world of nightlife, through a night walk in cooperation with the Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Paris. Several activities for children (and their parents!) also punctuate the year, such as Des mots des mômes, around stories in May or a special Halloween night in the park grounds...
An exceptional site classified as a Historic Monument, the Kernault manor was built in the 15th century. It offers a year-round interpretive tour within the manor house and the park, to discover and understand the history of the site. A temporary exhibition is also available. In 2018 (from 31 March to 4 November), it will be "Born to feel", which stages this important organ that defines our relationship to the world: our nose! The program includes visits, activities and experiments. The little ones, from 3 to 6 years old, even have a course dedicated to them! A mansion to visit, exhibitions to live, alone, with family or friends!
