HENAN SITE
A magnificent, unmissable site combining nature and culture, history and heritage
It is on the site of Le Hénan, on the banks of the Aven, along the GR 34, that the tidal mill is located, one of the few mills of its kind, dating from the 15th century, which still occasionally produces flour. A restored historical monument, not to be missed, just like the arboretum, the three fountains and the Sainte-Marguerite chapel, which are also located on the site of Le Hénan, in a green setting... An ideal place to walk. Not to mention visiting, a few metres away, the miller's house: a small house accessible by an outside staircase and whose basement is reserved for the wheat silo. Open your eyes wide to discover the richness of the surrounding fauna and flora, a true local ornithological reserve. You can also admire the Château du Hénan, a private property (it cannot be visited, the park is open to the public on a few occasions) which has been majestically enthroned since the 15th century in the Nevezian landscape. A magnificent and essential site between nature and culture, history and heritage.
