KELLER ISLAND
Rocky island and private property with a single house and prime game reserves.
Going up north from Ushant, you can see an island with only one house on it. This rocky island of 0.28 km² has been privately owned since the beginning of the 20th century. This island is very well known to ornithologists as a reserve of prime importance: cormorants, sea gulls, oystercatchers, little penguins, turnstones and puffins nest there in complete peace. You can admire them with binoculars from the point of Penn ar ru Meur. From there, you can also see the strong sea current which separates the island of Keller from the island of Ouessant.
