Go there and contact
A 9.3-kilometre walk along the bunker trail to explore the remnants of the war and the Franco-German positions.
From Place de l'Eglise, follow the red ring for a 9.3-kilometre walk of around 2.5 hours, which is sure to relax and educate you at the same time. Signposted by numerous volunteers, you'll follow a route lined with bunkers marking the 1914 front line, highlighting the vestiges of the war of position during the four years of Franco-German face-off. You'll also pass other heritage sites in Burnhaupt-le-Bas, such as the mills, the washhouse and the Hagendorn spring.
