Plouescat abounds in prehistoric remains, not always easy to uncover. The Guinirvit covered alley in the Bay of Kernic is a good example. Now partly in ruins, this megalith is located on the foreshore and served as a collective tomb. Menhirs are further evidence of this period. These include the 7-metre-high Cam Louis and Pors Ar Streat menhirs. The one at Kougn An Dre was listed as a Monument Historique in 1970.

pas facile a trouvé, mais vestiges a voir. Dommage qu il y ai de l'érosion. par beau temps, endroit très agréable.

Disséminés un peu partout sur le territoire de la commune, ces vestiges du passé vous transportent dans le temps! Menhirs, dolmen, allée couverte, il y a de quoi faire ici! Le plus important étant probablement le menhir de Cam Louis, de part sa taille et son emplacement. Curiosité, il existe un menhir couché appelé menhir de Saint-Eden.
