THE 8 CHAPELS
Go there and contact
In addition to its calvary, Plougastel-Daoulas has eight chapels located on different sites of the peninsula: Saint-Jean, Saint-Adrien, Saint-Claude, Saint-Guénolé, Saint-Languis, Saint-Trémeur, Sainte-Christine and Notre-Dame-de-La-Fontaine-Blanche, the closest to the village. Most of these chapels, located in a green and soothing setting, date back to the sixteenth century. Of different sizes, they animate summer through the classical music festival Le Chant des Chapelles. The programming is directed towards sacred vocal music, particularly adapted to the spirit of the eight chapels. The Chapels Chant thus offers famous vocal ensembles, medievalists to contemporaries, gwerziou singers, as well as small concerts of vocal music and/or instrumental music entrusted to local musicians from local conservatories.
