NATIONAL MEMORIAL TO THE SAILORS WHO DIED FOR FRANCE
A memorial area dedicated to sailors who died for France, complete with a cenotaph and a place of remembrance.
From 1927, a national monument by the sculptor Guillevic was erected in honour of sailors who "died for France." Since 2005, the Cenotaph completes this ceremonial area. It is a place of remembrance and reflection for families who have lost loved ones during a conflict and it is also used as a transmission point and a memorial for future generations. Not to forget, numerous photos of missing persons' strew the walls of the cenotaph and on the pictures, their faces and their eyes calls out to the visitor.

Un lieu pour se souvenir des marins disparus au combat lors de récents conflits.
Les dates des différents conflits sont inscrites dessus. La figure au sommet représente une personne priant (ou pleurant?) un disparu... Emouvant.
A memorial so that they are present at our sides and they do not disappear for the second time. Marie (50)
