Lighthouse offering a breathtaking view of the Molène archipelago, Crozon peninsula, Pointe du Raz and surrounding countryside.
Surrounded by the Saint-Mathieu Abbey and the National Memorial to the sailors who died for France, the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse offers a breathtaking view from its summit. After climbing the 163 steps, you will enjoy the breathtaking view! Admittedly, the lighthouse has not been guarded for nearly a decade, but it still serves as a landmark for sailors. The lower part of the lighthouse, formerly used as accommodation for the keepers, has been transformed into a tourist information point and exhibition room. Please note: Visits are subject to favourable weather conditions.
