HÔTEL-RESTAURANT AU CERF
Hotel-restaurant with terrace offering gastronomic inspired cuisine prepared with local products
When you arrive in this Haut-Rhin village and turn up the rue Principale, you can't miss this big red house with its gold-lettered sign, Au Cerf. Like all its sister establishments, this is a very welcoming address, with a "home from home" feel when you arrive. The three rooms - the classic winstub, the Coquelicot room and the small Léontine salon - are decorated in the old-fashioned style, with wood and quality white linen. In summer, a terrace lets you enjoy the sunshine. Right from the start, you know you're in for a treat. Prepared with local produce, the cuisine is gastronomically inspired, with tasty lamb chops with mint or delicious scallops, for example. The broccoli mousse with salmon is divine, as is the ribeye with mushrooms and vegetables. Otherwise, if you like fish, you've come to the right place. Evolving according to the market, the menu offers carp fillets, monkfish with baby vegetables, all accompanied by sauces that are a real treat. The specialty is the homemade foie gras, which people come from far and wide to taste and take home. Au Cerf, it's good!
