One of the great castles of Alsace, built in 1272, with a garden of ancient plants, demonstrations tracing the Middle Ages
The view over the Alsace plain and the Black Forest from this castle, proudly perched at an altitude of 620 metres, is absolutely exceptional! Built in 1279 by the Habsburgs, it was dismantled in the 17th century after the Thirty Years' War. Restored in the 1980s, it now hosts temporary and permanent exhibitions that shed light on the history of the site, from the Bronze Age to the present day. Its events, workshops, exhibitions, open-air concerts and medieval banquets make it a must-see for the whole family!
