Quimper-based restaurant serving simple, seasonal traditional French cuisine at affordable prices.
Quimper was the birthplace of the poet Max Jacob, a close friend of the Surrealist movement, Picasso and Jean Moulin. His father was a well-known and appreciated tailor and embroiderer. He ran his store in this courtyard house near the famous Hôtel de l'Épée. It's here, set back from the quayside traffic, that we invite you to discover Chez Max. It serves traditional French cuisine, simple and seasonal, in the spirit of Parisian bouillons. Eggs mayonnaise and beef bourguignon are served at very affordable prices.
