A small museum steeped in vanishing history, on display from fruit to bottle in Quimper.
Lovers of stills and other machines to create magic in bottles? This place is for you! In this small museum full of history, it is the whole tradition of the distillers, today in the process of disappearing, which is exposed, from the fruit to the bottle. Adjacent to the distillery, a vast room presents huge and curious machines (ancestral stills or presses from another age), which catch the eye and testify to these skills of the past, preventing them from disappearing. Outside the building, there are also old presses made of granite and stone, testimonies of a bygone era, where a man or his horse turned a heavy wheel to crush the apples and collect their precious nectar. Worthy heir to these ancestral skills, the distillery still produces its lambig in copper stills. But that's not all, because the Seznec family, which defines itself as an artisan liquorist, also produces AOC pommeau (which is often rewarded by the Concours Général Agricole de Paris), pastis marin, Algane d'océan and many other creations that can be discovered and tasted after visiting this amazing museum. In other words, it is a place where one comes to cultivate oneself, but also to cultivate one's taste for the good products of our regions, in the respect of the traditions and the crafts. You will be surprised by the diversity and quality of the products.
