This bridge over the Elle river was probably built in the fifteenth century to facilitate movement between Quimper and Nantes. It therefore granted access to one of the three fortified gates of the city from Vannetais. For the small anecdote, duchess Anne passed there in 1505. Despite the destruction of its four Gothic arches due to a very powerful flood in 1746, they were replaced by two big basket arch handle. The flowery bridge of Quimperle was thus able to preserve all its medieval aspect...

Ce petit pont en pierres est très probablement l'endroit le plus peint de Quimperlé, la maison en bord de rivière, le pont et la statue toute proche étant très prisés par les artistes peintres
