THE TERENEZ BRIDGE
Designed by architect Charles Lavigne, who also owes the bridge on the island of Ré or Normandy, this beautiful art book was officially opened for circulation in spring 2011. It replaces the old bridge, which was put into service in 1952. It has an estimated daily traffic of about 4 000 vehicles and up to 10 000 in summer. This bridge is the forced passage and, above all, the fastest link between the Crozon peninsula and the Brest country. It is practicable by pedestrians on both sides. One can then observe in pleasure the technical prowess that has earned him the first cable curve bridge of France, with 515 m of scope, of which 285 m for the central span. It also holds the world record of lift and without support. And in 2014, he won the most beautiful art book awarded by the International Federation of Concrete. Beyond the technical aspect, the point of view from this bridge is exceptional!
