Built in the 14th and 16th centuries, this charming chapel which is a historic place today was later refurnished. Peasants who revolted against the royal authority met here and on July 2nd 1675, 14 representatives of the neighbouring parishes, known as the red Bonnets, voted the "peasant Code" for they were well determined to defend their rights and their liberties at any extent. This boldness was severely repressed by the king's army who, in retaliation, destroyed many church bell towers. Over 5 000 graves were discovered at Saint-Urnel.
