CATHEDRAL
The Saint-Paul-Aurélien cathedral is endowed with two bell towers, witnesses of the imprint of the Norman art on the Breton architecture.
Built between the 13th and 16th centuries, the cathedral of Saint-Paul Aurélien bears witness to the imprint of Norman art on Breton architecture. It is dedicated to Paul Aurélien, the first bishop of Leon. Its two bell towers reach a height of 55 m. Among the remarkable elements, the choir was built in the 15th century. In its heart, there are about sixty stalls carved out of oak. Also observe the bishops' tombs and the night shelves, otherwise known as "skull boxes", located in the ambulatory.
