LES MÉDIÉVALES

Les médiévales de Saint-Renan is a free, popular and friendly festival. The following are programmed for this 13th edition: five processions; one with the torches to welcome Anne de Bretagne on Saturday evening, followed by a fire at the edge of Lake Ty Colo, a burning lake and a spectacular fireworks display...and during the parade on Sunday, over 600 costumed people animate the streets of Saint-Renan! Les Médiévales also offer other street performances, feasts (grilled pigs, pancakes, etc.), jousting and knights’ tournaments, reconstruction of life in the Middle Ages, a large medieval market, etc. During the weekend, they take you back to the old days with the sounds by musicians, troubadours and minstrels that animate the streets of a city that has preserved and enhanced a historic medieval heritage.
