SAINT-MICHEL DE BRASPARTS CHAPEL
Mont Saint-Michel de Brasparts, the summit of the Monts d'Arrée chain, is part of the Armorique Regional Natural Park and dominates the basin of the Yeun Elez marsh. On its tip, which culminates at an altitude of 381 m, is the Saint-Michel chapel, built on a former temple dedicated to the worship of the sun in 1672. Destroyed during the Revolution, it was rebuilt in the 19th century. Its very simple architecture (a rectangular plan with a half-timbered bedside table and a sober, even empty interior) gives way to a breathtaking view of all the Monts d'Arrée, which alone justifies the ascent. Note: It is possible to do part of this ascent by car, up to a hundred meters from the summit.
