Eleven chapels were originally built in the small town of Scaër, but only eight of them have survived. To mention them, they are the Plascaër chapel, the Saint-Guénolé chapel, the private chapel of Cascadec, the Penvern chapel, the Saint-Adrien chapel, the Coadry chapel, the Saint-Paul chapel and, finally, the Saint-Jean chapel.
