HOUSE OF THE DUNES OF KEREMMA
An exceptional site covering the communes of Tréflez, Plounevez-Lochrist and Goulven
The Keremma dunes span a surface of about 200 ha and cover a length of around 5 km. This large dune cord is an exceptional site extending over the municipalities of Tréflez, Plounevez-Lochrist and Goulven. Remarkable by its natural richness, it is considered an area of European interest from the point of view of its flora and fauna. There are nearly 600 plant species, the most common ones, such as the liseron, to the rarest, such as the Liparis Orchid of Loesel. Ornithology enthusiasts also find their own. Migratory birds come to shelter in winter and, when the summer comes, some are found there. The coastline owns the dunes and ensures that this beautiful place of biological diversity is preserved.
The House of Dunes and Hiking animates this site through a museum space, sightseeing tours, sightseeing tours and an educational interpretation path. Open the afternoon in summer and by appointment the rest of the year.
