CARADEUC CASTLE
A vast park in the classical style of the 18th century, allowing the discovery of multiple botanical elements such as an American walnut tree.
This Regency-style "Breton Versailles" was built around 1720 for Anne-Nicolas de la Chalotais. Of the imposing estate, only the vast 18th century classical style park, listed as a Historic Monument and labelled as a Remarkable Garden, can be visited. You will discover, among other things, a pond, numerous botanical elements such as an American walnut tree or a California Sequoia, a monumental statue of Louis XVI, Renaissance porticoes and a granite basin from the former prison on the route de Fougères in Rennes.
