A natural area where fishermen, walkers and migratory birds by the thousands live side by side.

North of Vitré, the Etang de Châtillon-en-Vendelais is a 110-hectare natural area where fishermen, walkers and thousands of migratory birds live side by side. An ornithological observatory on stilts has even been set up so that you can appreciate the surrounding fauna in complete tranquillity: osprey, wigeon, scaup and greylag goose. This is one of the richest sites for wintering birds in Ille-et-Vilaine. Don't forget your binoculars! To the south of the pond, there's a footpath, unless you fancy a pedalo ride.

Une jolie balade à faire, par contre on ne peut pas ce baigner ni touché l'eau à cause de bactéries...

the cantache and valliere are the haunts of fishermen, nature lovers, cyclists, runners and hikers. walk agréable.terrain not always available depending on the weather.
