This strange 50-ton menhir is said to be sinking at the rate of one inch per century, and impresses all who face it. It is fascinating, with an outline of 8.70 m at its widest point and a height of almost 9.30 m. Located 1 km from Dol, it is the largest menhir in Ille-et-Vilaine and certainly one of the most beautiful in Brittany. Legend has it that the devil threw it here in an attempt to crush the cathedral Samson was building.
