From the 12th century, the city of Dol De Bretagne stretched over the foot of the city and the castle, before being surrounded by ramparts in the 14th century. From now on, as old tower, there are only the Carmes tower, the tower of La Motte, tour de la Prison because the other vestiges are the private estate's property. The rampart walkway of Jules Vernes enables you to discover a part of the ramparts.
