Tourist information office, offering good points of visit such as La Salorge, the Halles or the old Prieuré Saint-Nicolas
The tourist information office is there to remind you of the importance of this town in the past. Erected as a commune in 1791, La Guerche-de-Bretagne was promoted to district capital. In the 19th century, fairs and markets developed in the country and in La Guerche. The Tuesday morning market became a veritable institution. In terms of heritage, the basilica of Notre-Dame de la Guerche deserves to be relocated, as do the houses of the 15th and 16th centuries. La Salorge or the wooden covered market are also good places to visit, as is the former Saint Nicolas Priory.
