RANCID TIDAL MILL
An industrial site of the dam at the mouth of the Rance estuary producing hydroelectricity from renewable energy
Inaugurated in 1966 by General de Gaulle, the tidal power plant is located at the mouth of the Rance estuary between Dinard and Saint-Malo. The dam's industrial site produces hydroelectricity, a 100% renewable energy source powered by the tides. The Espace Découverte (discovery area) presents the workings of the plant through a fun exhibition and a panoramic view of the machine room. Activities are organized all year round. A great place to visit with a remarkable view.
