Publisher Fanlac is an 80-year-old Périgord institution. Long based in Périgueux, it has chosen to return to its stronghold in Périgord Noir. Alice, the third generation to take over the reins, has had her work cut out negotiating the modernity of this publishing house with its strong regional roots. This has now been achieved, with a rejuvenated editorial line and detective fiction (Ab intestat and Springsteen-sur-Seine) and children's fiction (La tour penchée de la Vermondie) collections that are on a roll.
