THE CROSS OF THE SEVEN WOLVES
A cross in Quédillac, illustrating a legend about a seamstress attacked by seven ferocious wolves on her way home late from work.
In Médreac, two crosses were built in the 16th century, La Croix du Cimetière and La Croix des Sept Loups. Both illustrate a legend telling how a young seamstress returning late from work was attacked by seven ferocious wolves. The young woman then took scissors out of her pocket and shone a beam of light from them, thanks to the moon, to dazzle the seven wolves. The girl's parents erected this cross at the site of the miracle.
