Pretty corner of Dordogne offering an express formula, local products, meats and poultries.
Olivier Jérôme is a Parisian who has fallen under the spell of this pretty corner of the Dordogne.
The Chopin Gourmand Bistrot at Hôtel Côté Rivage is tastefully decorated and has a cosy atmosphere. The room is bright and airy, with a view over the Dordogne, and the tables are well spaced and beautifully laid. An express lunch menu is available for gourmets in a hurry, but the slightly more expensive menu is more than tempting. The chef works with local produce, bringing to the table the expertise he has acquired in Parisian establishments such as Ledoyen, Sofitel and Lucas Carton: finger of pig's trotter, lentil and cep corolla, shavings of foie gras; cocotte of veal blanquette and pan-fried escalope of foie gras with pear poached in Monbazillac, walnut oil and intense chocolate shortbread, foie gras terrines, goose breast. All excellent. Most of the comfortable rooms have a magnificent view of the Dordogne.
