Address offering traditional Bigouden specialties with local products, galettes and pancakes.
Finistère, Finistère, when you hold us with your melting and crunchy pancakes... We love this part of Brittany which takes us into the Bigouden tradition and into the good products of the soil, and this since 1999. The Cité d'Ys honors its origins by offering buttery and irresistible buckwheat pancakes, just like over there, in a warm setting (stone fireplace, wooden beams on the ceiling, old dishes on the walls). And it is a treat with a real regional touch in the mouth! The address is generous and offers classics as well as varied recipes: a sea air takes you away in a few bites. The best-seller: the Guéménoise with its andouille de Guéméné (of course!) accompanied by onions, mushrooms and mustard. You can also fall for the Armen (famous lighthouse from Finistère) made with potatoes, smoked salmon, lemon, fresh cream and chives. As far as pancakes are concerned, it's also very good with the Antilhez made of banana, home-made chocolate, coconut and whipped cream! We appreciate the generous and smiling reception: we have in heart to make you spend a good moment. The room upstairs is a plus in this street. Warm, it allows a quiet tasting. Finally, the terrace is very pleasant.
