Vietnamese restaurant offering a meat sandwich and a vegetarian version.
Le Petit Hanoï, a Vietnamese restaurant well known by the inhabitants of Rennes, has launched into street-food by opening Banh Mi Viet. Behind the colorful stall, we discover the specialty of this address: the Banh Mi. Exit the traditional ham and butter, this Vietnamese sandwich is composed of a special homemade baguette, crunchy vegetables (carrot, cucumber and onion), mayonnaise and a homemade poultry pâté as well as a choice of meat (also available in vegetarian version). We add some coriander leaves for freshness and here is a sandwich that is out of the ordinary. Vietnamese food aficionados will be delighted to find spring rolls, egg rolls and Bo Bun, as well as Banh Bio, plump buns stuffed and cooked in steam. Our choice was the Banh Mi Bo Kho with beef simmered in five flavors, which we tasted in the garden of the Palais Saint-Georges. Banh Mi Viet also welcomes us throughout the day for an unavoidable "bubble tea", milk tea with tapioca pearls or an iced coffee Viet.
