An address on a cobbled street perpendicular to the quays, offering well-thought-out combinations and seasonal dishes.
Located in a small cobbled street perpendicular to the quays, Le Bocal has been a safe bet for over 18 years! On the walls, between antique objects and old maps, the slates reveal seasonal dishes and a fine choice of wine, including several references of natural wine for wine lovers. The dishes on the slate are always well paired: snacked octopus with roasted leeks, marinated cockles with pork belly, asparagus with feta cheese. For dessert, opt for the inimitable brioche perdue with salted butter caramel or dark chocolate ganache with Timut pepper and pistachios. The atmosphere is convivial and the welcome warm.

I stopped on 'the squid with pesto and gables' after hesitated lengthily around 'of the babillard grilled with sesame' or 'of the pollack poached milk chorizo'...
I completed this dinner D a chardonnay...
And for dessert, I took a Biscuits duo chocolates...
The verdict: Excellent meal, the service is impeccable.
It is an address to remember if you wish to dine very properly on Rennes in a budget around 35€ (it is what I paid).
Plats bons et originaux , produits frais et service rapide.
