The restaurant's chef and efficient service make it possible to enjoy dishes in a rather sonorous setting with a terrace.
Mooring on the banks of the Vilaine, Maison Java is the successor bistro to Les Bricoles. The new decor is more streamlined, but the party spirit remains, with a few nods to the 1970s. Instead of vitamin-rich orange, ochre warms the walls, and wine quickly becomes an integral part of the menu, with an extensive selection. We tasted shrimp mousse with grilled bacon and candied peppers, lentil sausage and praline puffs. Bravo to the young chef, we really enjoyed ourselves. Service is relaxed and efficient. If you're looking for an intimate setting, don't bother, as the noise level here is quite high. In summer, the small terrace at the back is very pleasant.
